Maria Obringer, Maryland State Registered Massage Practitioner. Graduate of Holistic Massage Training Institute, Baltimore, MD  Class of 2010 and member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Helping others is something that has always come naturally to me.  I began to feel the pull toward the healing arts in the mid 1990's and completed my studies to become a Reiki Master in 1995. I enjoyed using this modality on friends and family for many years.  After a while, it became clear to me that Massage would be a perfect compliment to Reiki treatments.

In 2010, I graduated from the Massage program at Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore, MD. It was a dream come true when I passed my National Boards (yay!) and became a Registered Massage Practitioner in the state of Maryland.  

I am so happy to be in a career that I love! It is immensely rewarding to assist my clients in their transformation from being being stressed, tired and sore to being relaxed, refreshed and feeling great!  The techniques I use during my sessions can include any combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial stretching, Reiki, Vaccum Cupping and Applied Heat/Ice.  

What I have found in my experience with clients is that the KEY to a relaxed body is a relaxed mind.  My intention for all session is to create a space in which my clients feel nurtured and comfortable enough to allow the experience of deep relaxation on all levels.  It is in this state that true healing occurs.
